August 15, 2008

I did my best to compile tonight's list without Ralph's (Marsden Planet) keen assistance. He was scheduled of town once again this week. All but 5 songs have been identified, with recordings of the unknown songs sent off to Ralph for his help. I'm certain once he has a chance to listen to the clips, he'll fill in any blanks.

Meanwhile, if you were fortunate enough to have listened (*outstanding* show - Bravo, David!) and have any changes, deletions, or additions, please feel free to add them to the comments section below. Cheers!

You've cleared up a big mystery....I sent an audio clip to Ralph with the caveat that I *know* this song, but just couldn't for the life of me place it...it was "Violet Light." Thanks so much and I hate when that happens.

I hate that feeling too when I hear a song and I know I should be familiar with the artist and/or title but my memory draws a blank card.

You're welcome!

I was able to ID a couple more from the samples Miss Parker sent me:

Jo Jo Gunne - High School Drool
Be Bop Deluxe - Surreal Estate

Will add those to the list and I can confirm the ones Glen already mentioned as two of the other samples you sent. That just leaves one track not ID'd from this show! :-)

Thanks yet again to everyone for all for the help with these lists, it's all greatly appreciated!

Ralph

I think that Wombats song is great - something new with a tie in to something old. David does manage to mix in quite a bit of new stuff in there - although much of that is Can Con material, he does bring in some newer stuff from the UK and other places as well (Rammstein, The Crimea, etc.)
