The sample is driving me nuts...been trying to find lyrics off and on all day, but to no avail. I heard the "Little Wing" cover last night and I'd be willing to bet it's Stevie Ray Vaughn. He did an outstanding cover which I have on CD packed up in a box somewhere.

Thanks for the comment - I tried googling some of the lyrics for that unknown song (to me anyways!)as well, with no luck either. Sometimes that works like a charm, sometimes nothing...

On Little Wing - I have a Stevie Ray Vaughn version of Little Wing and David does play that version on a semi-regular basis. I thought the SRV version was totally instrumental (just the singing of his guitar) - just playing it now to confirm that was the case. There were definitely vocals in the version that David played.

That unknown song has me stumped too. Google and Yahoo engine searches did not reveal pertinent results.

While the song was playing, I was going to ask David in Marsbartheater chatroom what the song title is and the artist but didn't.

Thanks for the comment. I'm reasonably certain that David's played that one before and he's likely to play it again, and with some luck he'll back announce who it is next time!

Hello,

David has played this one a few times before. Like before, I'm still stumped about the artist and title of this mysterious song.

I asked David in the chatroom about us being stumped for the song's identiy but David didn't notice my question. Besides, a week had passed so I wouldn't expect him to recall it.

Thanks for the note - it may take some time, but I'm sure with enough of us working on it, we'll get it figured out.

I can understand David missing out on a few messages as he's got e-mail, the chat room and playing the music to try to keep up on - he's got many tasks to juggle durung a show!

The mystery track has been ID'd - with thanks to Miss Parker I can now confirm that the mystery track is The Water Walk's - Never Leaving Eden Again which appeared on their 1990 album on the Nettwerk label called Thingamajig.
